‘Dongnae Market’ which is a place where history of Busan is alive and well

 

 

 

● Dongnae Castle

 

This site was a town fortress surrounding the administrative center of Dongnae district in the Joseon period. It is a typical mountain fortress wall surrounding the mountain at the back of the Chungnyeolsa, Maan mountain, the mountain at the back of the Dongnae hyanggyo and the present Dongnae urban areas. It is representative of town fortress in Korea.

DongnaeMarket got permission for establishment from Dongnaemerchant association in 1979. After that, the market bacamebigger and bigger and be comprised of about 350 stores.
